One woman, Stacy Brown, set out to figure out her own rendition of the crowd-pleasing staple food lovingly known as the chicken salad. The then, stay-at-home mom fine-tuned her recipe after countless taste tastings with the help of friends and family. Stacey then began dropping off samples anywhere she could until one day, orders started pouring in! Shortly after Chicken Salad Chick took off, Stacey received a phone call that her home business was delicious but illegal. As business was booming, Stacey and her husband, Kevin Brown, decided to open a quaint carry-out only restaurant. Flash forward to today, the chicken salad guru boasts 146 restaurants across 16 states and is expected to grow to 175 or more by 2021.
Although The Chicken Salad Chick is on her way to becoming “America’s Favorite Place for Chicken Salad”, this hot spot has not forgotten about the importance of a personable experience. Each meal is made from scratch with love boasting 12 different flavors of the chicken salad, from Sweet or traditional, to spicy or nutty. The specialty named salads featured on the menu are inspired by real ‘chicks’ in Stacey’s personal life and their unique flavor reflects their individual personalities. They also offer delicious BLTs, salads, and other signature sandwiches. People will go in to try the famous chicken salad (namely the Jalapeno Holly) but keep coming back for the pimento cheese spreads and other savory menu items! Their soups are made fresh daily and change every single day.
