Calhoun Street

Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC

Considered the main artery of Old Town Bluffton, Calhoun Street is home to many venerable restaurants, art studios, historic places, businesses, and the bluff. Bluffton became a stopover for many travelers in between, Charleston, Beaufort and Savannah in the late 1800s. These travelers were able to explore Bluffton due to a steamboat landing that was constructed at the end of Calhoun Street. Today you’ll find a public dock at the end of Calhoun Street where many tourists and locals spend time admiring the May River next to The Church of the Cross. Calhoun Street is also home to several popular events throughout the year, such as the Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival, the May River Cleanup, and the Christmas Parade.
