First Tee of The Lowcountry conducts its Life Skills Classes at the First Tee Practice Facility located at 151 Gumtree Rd., Hilton Head, next to the Boys and Girls Club. Classes are held Monday through Friday and are for all levels of the First Tee Program. The new 13 acre facility hosts a 6 hole par 3 short course, a complete practice area which includes a 320 yard driving range, areas for chipping and putting and a learning center for classroom instruction. The First Tee Of The The Lowcountry will also conduct classes at additional satellite locations in Bluffton, Beaufort, Ridgeland and Hardeeville. Winter 2020 Schedule

AGES 7 – 17 First Tee – The Lowcountry campus on Hilton Head Island is a large, open-air facility with plenty of space for safe social distancing. When you visit us for recreational golf, disc golf or fishing, we will be observing social distancing protocols and implementing enhanced sanitizing procedures. This also applies to our classes held across The Lowcountry. These procedures are to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, guests and students. We strongly encourage mask use and for everyone to adhere to public safety protocols.   Cost of All Classes:  $75 REGISTRATION FEE (Scholarships Available, See Below) Class Sizes Classes sizes will vary pending location. There is a minimum requirement of 5 kids to host a class and a maximum number of 20 kids, to ensure a quality learning experience. If there are not enough kids registered for class, we will contact you to discuss other options. Winter 2020 Life Skills Experience Schedule Classes will begin on December 5th. Each class is held one day a week on the scheduled day. The Winter session will continue for 6 weeks (weather permitting), WITH NO CLASSES HELD ON SATURDAY 12/26. See below for our full Winter schedule. Scholarships/Financial Aid Scholarships are easily available to anyone who qualifies. Participants currently enrolled in the South Carolina Free or Reduced Lunch program or cases of family financial hardship may qualify. Please apply online when registering your child in one of our Life Skills Experience Programs. What do Participants need? Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate golf attire when attending class. Participants do NOT need clubs to participate but are encouraged to bring their own if they have them. We will provide appropriate golf equipment for them to borrow for the class time. They may bring their own water/snacks if desired.
