Our History

Originally constructed as a 9-bedroom 8-bathroom center for abused women, the property underwent a transformative journey in its history. Today, it stands as a testament to resilience and renewal, having been donated to the University of South Carolina Beaufort and subsequently acquired in 2022. Through extensive renovation efforts, this property has been restored to its quintessential southern beauty.

The property extends beyond the house, featuring 5.5 acres of open and wooded landscapes ideal for accommodating guests and hosting events. Spacious patios, balconies, and the pool area provide excellent settings for relaxation and social gatherings. The Manor offers five guest suites, each equipped with ensuite bathrooms and adorned with luxurious bed linens, robes, towels, and bath amenities. Guests are provided with complimentary Wi-Fi and parking, along with the added indulgence of complimentary breakfast and afternoon refreshments.
