Good Morning, By now, you have seen or heard information about Hurricane Idalia, which is expected to be a tropical storm when it reaches our area (the greatest impacts for southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina are expected to occur late Wednesday morning through early Thursday morning). Please be aware that as of this morning, Tuesday, August 29, 2023, heavy rainfall, flash flooding, strong, gusty winds, storm surges/coastal flooding, and rip currents are possible.If you haven’t done so already, finalize your emergency plan and storm preparations, back up files, make sure important documents are safe, have a communication plan in place, and know your insurance policy. If you aren’t sure where to start or need to update your plans, the South Carolina Emergency Management Division has a list of what to do to prepare a business HERE.Please remember to check official, reliable resources.
